Johnny Fontane's - Darlinghurst

It loved it, it loved it! I tried deep dish pizza in chicago, and my opinion was johnny fontane even better than the original. we came on a Thursday when it was not too busy, and the staff really went the extra mile to meet our needs. if they arrive a week at night, I would recommend arriving between 5 and 7 hours for happy hour. 10 cocktails?

Was so incredibly disappointed by our meal on Friday night. we sat in an area down with 2 group tables, which was very loud for the 2 of us, we were not sure whether to order at the bar or wait to wait staff and wait to serve the bar, was said that the order could be taken on the table, and the capone pizza was so amazingly tasteless and unpleasant. everything about this pizza tasted like nothing. no garlic? No salt and pepper? I couldn't finish a second disc. the rest after home to feed our dog. will not be back.

Eating here was an Ahh-Mazing! the best Arancini balls I had tasted so far! I come from the intermediate stage, but the capone low plate pizza is now on my list the favorite dinner of all time! the oreo ricotta cannoli was delicious and a good value for money.

Great potential, but not good with the busy Saturday night. would recommend going on a week.

What a fantastic experience! We went for lunch on a Friday when it was quiet, which meant we largely had the place to ourselves. The staff were friendly and personable, and the owner made us feel right at home. The antipasti board and pumpkin gnocchi were both delicious (and generous for their pricing), and the cocktails left us wanting more. Although we'd only planned to stay for lunch, we ended up buying a cigar and enjoying it in the outdoor smoking area. The cigars will set you back a bit, but for an afternoon indulgence it was definitely worth it. We'll be back for sure!
