Plattino Oven Fried Pizza

Had a chicken parmigiana from here. Ended up vomiting a few hours later.

I was flying through Philly and happened to be here around 6 PM in terminal A. There aren't many choices in this area and fewer once 6 rolls around. Apparently everything starts closing early. I had high hopes for my pizza. They do offer wood fired pizza. As i had a long plane ride ahead of me to Europe I decided to get the meat pizza. Oddly it said it has meatballs and pepperoni and caramelized onions and peppers. I didn't have any pepperoni on mine just meatballs. The caramelized onions and peppers had a strange overly sweet connotation that made the pizza taste considerably worse than it should. Sweet and pizza don't go together in my book. The saving thing with the pizza was the crust which was pretty good and the cheese also decent. The pizza was $16 which really wasn't worth it. I would rate it at the bottom of pizza I have had and would advise to not get the meat pizza. I would just get the cheese pizza if I ate here again.

Food was hot, delicious and filling. service was awesome. Very nice cashier, only food stall in the airport that took the time to tell me what my number was so that I could listen for when my food was ready.

Wow. Where to begin. Extremely long line so had to wait a bit, and when I got to the front the cashier was a bona fide pizza Nazi in the same spirit of the soup Nazi from Seinfeld. I asked for a margarita pizza, he told me that I could have a cheese pizza. Basically just said no, margarita and he said cheese for you and he plops down a cheese pizza. I told him I would like a margarita pizza and he said I could go away or have a cheese pizza. I opted to go away. Quite a few customers behind me saw the interaction and decided to try a different location in the airport for their dinner. If the owner reads these... You might want to take a look at your staff in the airport. Awful, just plain awful.

I ordered a cream cheese Bagel. They give a really small packet of cream cheese that doesn't even cover one side of the bagel. Then they want to charge you over a dollar for another packet. I didn't order a bagel with only enough cream cheese to cover 1/2 of one side. Didn't get what I paid for.
