New York Gyro Truck - Darby Township

If I ever am dying, their Chicken over rice would be the last thing I would eat. I’ve got no words to express how godly their food is.We were visiting Philly and a we were told to go here for lunch. We really did not wait for long ~15mins) considering that we went super early, at around 12pm. I’m not even joking when I say this but my friend opened the food box while I was driving, and it was so appetizing that I literally parked the car next second and had the food. Holy moly, the food was amazing!!!The rice was fluffy and quite flavorful. The chicken was soft and juicy although I wish it were a little spicy). And the white sauce was a cherry in the top, just making things better. The red sauce added a hint of spiciness making the flavor complete.In addition to their chicken over rice, I’ve also had their chicken gyro and it was not surprisingly) quite delicious. Perfect combination of meat, greens, and the sauce.And the best part? These two costs just $13!!!! I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and I wish this guy moves there. I would have this everyday!!

This halal cart singlehanded feeds my boyfriend and I at least 3 times a week. The food is exceptionally tasty and well-priced and great portions, which is perfect for someone on a budget or a student. We typically eat the platters (meat/falafel over rice with salad) for 2 meals. As a pescatarian, I am a big fan of the fish shrimp over rice. The rice and salad amounts are customizable and you can add red (hot) or white (creamy) sauce to the platters as toppings. The hot sauce is not too spicy but I typically prefer my food with just the white sauce. Mo is an amazing person and is by-far the quickest halal cart at making the food and nicest person to chat with. The drinks are $1 extra to the total. There are numerous fruity sodas along with the regular Pepsi, ginger ale, etc. drinks. Of note is prices have stayed low for years despite inflation. When other trucks have $10+ platters, this cart has both a lower price and better flavor and portion size, in my opinion. I definitely would recommend trying this cart when in the area!

Very very very nice man when I go he always remembers my order, n he always serves with a smile very positive person . EVEN WHEN ITS ALOT OF PPL HE GET EVERYBODY'S FOOD RIGHT N FAST!!The food is so fresh and delicious I can't even pull off I do my happy food dance right there n eat at least 5 fork falls.... I love this

This man singlehandedly carried my lunch options while I was at Upenn for a rotation. Highly suggest the combo lamb/chicken over rice. Ask if you can substitute the salad for more rice like a carb loving glutton. All very good. I always got extra hot sauce cause what is life without flavor? Highly suggest checking out this cart and they take card which is even more surprising.

I never write reviews but this was how good it was. I got the lamb and chk combo over rice and OMG 10/10 honestly. Very reasonable price
