The Big Easy - Danville

First timers. The service was great and the food outstanding. We had the Gumbo and Shrimp Grits. Our waitperson was new and got answers promptly when she didn't know. Not much ambiance but the food makes it very worthwhile. We don't live in the area but plan to make a return trip soon--well worth the drive.

This place was really good. I are the Gumbo whit shrimp and crawfish. It was the best I've had from a restaurant.

The food is good at average. However, I’m a bit disappointed about the shrimp and grits. It is too oily but lack of creamy texture. It will be nice to make everything less oily.

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch today and was really impressed. We sat in the bar area and the bartender was super friendly. She even gave us suggestions on food since it was our first time. She was very attentive and held good manners. I ordered chicken wings and he got the catfish. He just kept saying how fresh the catfish was and that this was our new favorite spot. Needless to say, we will be back!
