Bidrage med feedbackInside, we were greeted by a very friendly new waiter and the manager, who was actively engaging with guests and staff to ensure everything ran smoothly. We decided to start with the crab beignets, and they were absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend them. We also shared the clam chowder, which was equally phenomenal. The only issue we encountered was with the main courses. When our meals arrived, my steak was well-done and dry rather than the medium-rare I had ordered. When we brought this up with our waiter, he insisted it was medium-rare, which was frustrating as I believe it's important for staff to listen to customers. Steak is easy to identify by both appearance and texture, and this was more like shoe leather. However, the restaurant swiftly replaced the steak, and it came out perfect and delicious. If we return to Dana Point, we would definitely come back to this restaurant. Any staff issues we experienced could have been just an isolated incident, and the manager appeared to have everything under control. The food was excellent, and the views were fantastic!
The restaurant offers a beautiful view and the service was friendly. However, the salmon was served with a butter sauce that overpowered its flavor. Despite this shortcoming, the staff was awesome and their friendliness made the experience enjoyable.
Absolutely the best Happy Hour! My wife and I dined here during Happy Hour and were blown away! The food was incredible, very affordable, and the service was outstanding. Dining on the terrace added to the wonderful experience. Stop by and take advantage of the Happy Hour; the calamari and coconut shrimp are standouts among many delicious options!
This was a great seafood restaurant with seating that essentially hang on the cliff. Great view of the port and sunset colors the boats. After the darkness, the port is illuminated, which is a different view itself. Lobster Bisque was one of the better ones I ever had, and the steak and swordfish were both made very good. Definitely a place to check out.
Last night's event went off without a hitch. Lisa and Greg plus the entire waitstaff/kitchen were on point for the (early) birthday celebration party put on by the South Coast Detachment Marine Corps League in honor of the 243rd Marine Corps Birthday. I will miss Cannon's and wish the best for the planned boutique hotel and will always treasure the memories had there.
