Bidrage med feedbackDrove over 30 min to try this place and it was so worth it. We got the “The Jamal” and Brisket Nachos. Both were delicious. The brisket and ribs were stand outs. This is some of the best bbq in DFW/Texas.Food: 5/5
Great place. Service and hospitality were amazing. Food was great too. Potato salad was to die for. Brisket solid. Turkey delicious. Pickles tasted like candy!Food: 5/5
We are in Dallas, TX, visiting family and wanted to try some BBQ. We ended up going to Smokey Joe's. We got chicken, rib, brisket, mac-n-cheese, cucumber salad, brisket nacho, potato salad, and string beans.I was not a fan of the ribs it had a weird taste/ texture, and the mac-n-cheese was a no for me. They were out of greens and baked beans, so we had to settle for these sides, which was ok. Overall, the food was good, besides the rib. Yes, I would recommend this place. Would I go back... maybe if I stay in the area.Thank you for the food :)Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, very simple placeParking: There was available parking at the business and also on the street
Great portion sizes and taste. My only critique is that sometimes they don't answer the phone when I want to call ahead but I attribute that to them being busy. They also have an option to order online.
This was a tiny little location that at first we couldn't tell was open, even thinking the door was locked (in truth, we just couldn't tell if it was a push or pull door). The spot seemed surprisingly empty for a Sunday afternoon, but it turns out most customers were just getting their food to go. Honestly, that would be the wisest option because we wound up asking for takeout boxes anyway. The Jabo platter was way too much food for two people, though it was nice to sample all the different kinds of meats. My favorite was the brakes, and my friend said it was the first time he had turkey that wasn't dry from a barbecue restaurant. The cucumber salad and macaroni and cheese sides were both delicious. So much of barbecue is personal preference, and the sauce was thinner and sweeter than I like, but I still put some in my to-go box if that means anything.
