Bidrage med feedbackIf you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, Marugame Udon is definitely worth checking out. The restaurant offers a wide variety of udon noodle dishes, all of which are freshly made and bursting with flavor. One of the things I love about Marugame Udon is the open kitchen concept, where you can watch the chefs prepare your meal right in front of you. It's fascinating to see how they craft each dish with such care and precision. The udon noodles themselves are perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of chewiness. Whether you're in the mood for a hot bowl of soup or a cold salad, Marugame Udon has something for everyone. In addition to their udon dishes, the restaurant also offers a selection of sides and drinks. Their tempura is crispy and flavorful, and their matcha latte is the perfect way to end your meal.Overall, I highly recommend Marugame Udon for anyone looking for a tasty and authentic Japanese meal. The quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere make it a truly enjoyable dining experience.
Don't let the limited menu and fast service fool you. Marugame makes both broths and noodles from scratch. The ingredients are fresh and expertly cooked. The flavors are so good enough that they don't need the MSG most American Japanese restaurants add to their dishes.I usually get the Tan Tan noodles with ginger, spicy powder and green onions. My husband, who before Marugame thought all Japanese food was teriyaki or supermarket sushi, now likes Tonkotsu with an egg. The food is good enough to remind me of my childhood in Honolulu, and, if this place added seaweed patties and salt plum to the menu, I would never eat anyplace else. I love it.GIVE IT A TRY.
The star of the show is udon and curry! Highly recommend the chicken katsu curry with udon! I love rice but you must get the udon here. The teriyaki was good but not as good as the curry. Lots of tempura to choose from which was fun! The regular size bowl were huge to me, great amount of food for the price. Come hungry, leave fully happy!
I think it's so awesome that there is a well known, authentic Japanese restaurant so close to the Park Cities. I have been to their famous location in Waikiki and was surprised to see that a new location had opened up at Greenville. I came here the other day to try their Nikutama Curry Udon and it was very good. A little salty but otherwise very tasty. I ordered the Large and that was a massive portion. Will probably do regular next time for a lunch. We also ordered the Tonkatsu which was equally as tasty and filling. Definitely will be back again!
Yum, yum! The limited menu means they are concentrating and perfecting what they do do. So good!
