Bidrage med feedbackIt was my Birthday Celebration and my guests as well as myself enjoyed the evening. We loved the Carolers!
Travis our server, Gabriel his assistant. Carlos master carver on the cart. all took care of us. Travis was very attentive and explained everything to us since this was our first time in. Even took it the extra mile and surprised us with the cake at the end. It happened to be our 10th anniversary we were celebrating. I hope to cross paths with Travis again he was the best!
The ONLY negative about this place is that it is expensive.
My company has hosted several events at Lawry's. The private dining room is intimate has a classic ambiance. Travis always provides top notch service makes sure that our event runs smoothly, without delays. Along with Jonathan and Elizabeth, the team really executed nicely!
I went to Lawry’s on Saturday, November 4, 2023 for dinner with several friends. It was the most memorable dining experience in my life. I was concerned at first that there were no visible prices listed on the menu. I chose Lawry’s Classic Prime Rib Dinner and it was not what I expected. The meat is carried on a silver cart and cut by a chef for us to watch. I asked for medium-rare because it was the chef’s recommendation. Honestly, the taste and texture ruined prime rib from other restaurants like Texas Roadhouse. The fact that horseradish was included left Texas Roadhouse in the dust. The salad that came with the food was a spinning salad so we got to see our server prepare it before our table. The Yorkshire pudding was great alone but was amazing once soaked in the juices of the prime rib. The best part about the creamed corn and spinach that came with the silver cart was that they had the right amount of salt. The other dishes we ordered were excellent too. The lobster bisque was rich and packed with flavor. The sticky pork belly for our appetizer is sweet and so soft that it will melt in your mouth. The lobster tail side dish was cooked to perfection; it was not too tough from being overcooked. But the highlight of our evening was actually our server, Travis. He greeted us with the most enthusiastic and friendliest smile I’ve ever seen. He treated the youngest at our table (around 7-10 years old) so well. Travis got him to spin the salad for our table and gave him a free bowl of ice cream to say thanks. He demonstrated his passion for his job when he entertained us with facts about Lawry’s such as there being only 3 locations (Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, and Dallas), Lawry’s was the first restaurant to serve the salad first before a meal, and that Yorkshire pudding was served in England as a filling substitute for meat. He made it so that we all left with a happy smile on our faces. I will be honest when I say that I have no idea how much it costs per person or how much the menu items cost since a friend was paying. I am expecting it to be over $150 and I am scared to know the truth. But for anyone wanting to try Lawry’s for the first time: order the Lawry cut Classic Prime Rib Dinner and ask for Travis. It will be worth every penny you spend here. I will most definitely come here again for all future special occasions.
