The food was excellent as always and the wait staff was wonderful. However, management made a questionable decision when they asked two older women to move from a booth they were already seated at and had started their order just because a third person wanted to join them. Despite the fact that the booth could comfortably fit four people, management insisted that it was only for seating two. This resulted in the women having to carry their own wine to the front and wait for a new table to open up. I spoke to the manager, who gave me a canned response about the booths now only being for two people. This kind of treatment towards patrons is unacceptable. Even if the booths were only meant for two, they could have allowed the women to stay until a larger table became available and had the staff assist them with their wine. This lack of service and poor management skills make me hesitant to return to this restaurant. I will make sure to take my business elsewhere where patrons are treated with more respect. The food at this restaurant is top-notch, but what really sets this place apart is the amazing staff. I absolutely loved the Hawaiian ribeye --- each bite was delicious. The attentive service really elevated the overall dining experience. While Hillstone may be a bit on the pricey side, it is definitely worth it for the quality of food and service you receive. Overall rating: Food 4, Service 5, Atmosphere 5.

I had an amazing dining experience at this hidden gem of a restaurant in Highland Park. I caught up with an old high school friend over a delicious meal. The drinks were expertly crafted, with a creative twist by the bartender in the old fashioned. The special of the day, a perfectly cooked 24oz New York strip steak, was a highlight. The Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were outstanding as well. I give this place 5 stars and can't wait to come back. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the overall price per person was $100+. This is definitely a must-try for dinner.
