Nick was incredibly kind and welcoming. His passion for his work was evident. Not only did he ask about my boss's preferences and help me select the perfect gift, but he also guided us on a delicious journey through the various luxurious flavors available. It felt like a trip around the world, with offerings ranging from turmeric to matcha, and even chocolate salami! My 11-year-old and I had an incredible time, surpassing many experiences we've had in local shops. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was. We will definitely return, as we've finally found a place that offers unique chocolate treats! Thank you, Nick, from the bottom of our hearts! My son and I will cherish this amazing experience forever.
I went to their shop this past Sunday to pick up their Albatross Fudge, which is absolutely delicious—a perfect blend of blue cheese and dark chocolate that shouldn't work but somehow does. Unfortunately, my checkout experience was disappointing. Their register system seemed to be malfunctioning, which was puzzling since another group had checked out just minutes before without any issues. I thought maybe it was just a technical glitch, so I didn’t mind waiting a few minutes for the employee to restart it. The worker mentioned he could still accept cash, so I decided to go that route since I had some on me. According to their website, the Albatross Fudge costs $13, which comes to just over $14 with tax. I handed over a $20 bill, but when the employee opened the register, he awkwardly said, “Oh sorry, we don’t have exact change,” and handed me back a handful of coins. I immediately realized it wasn’t enough change, which left me stunned at such unprofessional behavior. The employee gave a half-hearted apology, but since I was running late, I decided it wasn’t worth arguing and simply wished him a good day as I left. When I got to my car and counted the change, I found I had received only $2.15 back. In short, I ended up losing a few dollars. Is a few bucks a dealbreaker? Not really, but the entire experience felt shady, uncomfortable, and utterly unprofessional. It’s disappointing because I genuinely love their chocolate and have been a loyal customer for years, but this encounter makes me reconsider ever returning.
What a distinctive chocolate experience! I'm not usually a big chocolate lover, but the aroma in this place was incredible. I tasted several items since they provide free samples, and I was truly impressed. I'm not exactly sure how to articulate the flavors, but it was certainly unlike anything I've ever had before—it was exceptionally rich in taste. I ended up leaving with a jar of hazelnut spread!
The owner spent several minutes with us walking through options for me. I can't have dairy and I limit my sugar intake. She had several options for me to try and they were all excellent. I will be back to buy more!
We have loved Dude, Sweet Chocolate for several years. Albatross fudge is our favorite but the bars are amazing too!
