Dallasite Billiards

We adore The Dallasite because it’s the quintessential local Cheers bar in Dallas. Everyone knows your name here. Additionally, they serve the best and spiciest bar food in all of Texas and the USA!

The bar offers a decent selection of drinks, but the food leaves something to be desired. The hamburgers were on the thin side, among other options. As a group of 16, we sampled all the appetizers and most of the menu, sharing everything around the table, but I wasn't particularly impressed. If you're looking to fill up, you will do so, but the flavors may not satisfy those seeking something more exciting. On a positive note, I enjoyed the wine—it was quite good.

Dallasite Billiards has earned its status as a local institution, and its owner, Rhonda, is a big part of that. Despite frequent requests to close for private events or TV shoots, she couldn’t imagine shutting the doors on her loyal patrons, some of whom have been coming since it opened in 1973. Rhonda now operates three days a week, so if you don’t catch her on your first visit, feel free to return. In Texas, a phrase of high regard is often, “She’s good people,” and that truly applies to her. The bar is well-stocked, the staff is friendly, and the regulars create a warm atmosphere. You can enjoy delicious burgers, relax on the patio, and catch games on the TVs. The venue also features shuffleboard (with weekly tournaments), darts (two boards), and billiards. Its clientele is diverse, largely rooted in the working-class community of the area.

This is a delightful little bar. The food is great, the drink prices are reasonable, and the service is outstanding. I always make a point to visit whenever I'm in that part of town.

I had a fantastic cheeseburger at this place! The staff were very friendly, and it's a great spot to relax and unwind after work.
