Edee's Place Bbq - Dacula

The food did not meet my expectations. I ordered a chop steak with mashed potatoes and baked beans from the menu, but what I received was two overcooked hamburger patties sitting on a bed of mashed potatoes, accompanied by a side of rather bland baked beans. This was a dish I could have easily prepared at home, and it would have turned out better. There were only two staff members handling both the waitressing and bar service, which resulted in a long wait to place our order and to receive our food. We also never received several condiments we had requested. All in all, this was not a great first impression.

The food and service is great but the take-out side portions a kind of small and I wish the served sliced brisket not just chopped.

Stumbled on this gem and let me say it was one of the best mistakes. I came about 20 minutes before close but did not feel at any moment rushed. The staff were very informative. The customer service was out of this world. I ordered fish ribs, collard greens and sweet potato soufflé. The food had me wishing I ordered more. It was so delicious, they have found themselves a new regular.

A good friend of mine had eaten here earlier in the week. He was singing their praises. So, I drove from Alpharetta to see what the fuss was about. Now I'm singing their praises. Most definitely will be making this trip again soon. By the way, the food and service was totally awesome!

I don't often find brisket that I enjoy, but I truly liked their brisket. The fried okra was also cooked perfectly.
