The veggie burrito is my favourite it is packed (a mix of kale, sweet potatoes, corn, along with more conventional burrito fare like rice, refried beans and hot sauce). They are quite familiar with how to veganize it due to my family being regulars but in case someone new is on, you need to drop the mayo and cheese and add guacamloe. Most of their food is made on premises or sourced locally, they serve Abuelos organic corn chips, for example, which are made locally in the Comox Valley and they make their own fresh salsa and guacamole. The restaurant is compact and cosy and the people who work there are very friendly. This place is well worth a visit if you are in the area. [EDIT: My family were regulars here but never go here any more. the reason is that, while the owner is super nice and friendly, he is not always there and the service is not welcoming for vegans when he is not there] Updated from previous review on 2016 11 23
In the Comox Valley there are few possibilities for Mexican food. Biblio Taco offers excellent Mexican street food tacos, burritos, quesadillas. The portions are huge, the flavors are tasty. The restaurant can sometimes be very busy, but table turnover is quite fast, and... there is a decent amount of seating in the restaurant and on both terraces (front and back). Our Lunch Entrees were all in the $12 14 row, the portion sizes were generous.
Stopped from this gem today and had a great late lunch on the back terrace. The salad we ordered was huge! It was full of taste, very colorful and absolutely delicious. So order the salad with Ahi Tuna. The other menu items looked substantially and...yummy.
Friendly, efficient, clean and good food. A simple concept with fresh ingredients and good flavors we really enjoyed it. A great place for lunch.
It was worth the line for food, but I hate eating it on the street. The beverage specialities were a nice surprise. Next time, I'll try the peak times.
