Excellent pub from the 16th century beautiful eating and personal

We had a turn up here with our bike club last Wednesday. The Bar man couldn 't have been more welcoming. He took our drinks and food orders we all paid separately and the food was delivered well within 15 minutes. The sandwiches came within 10 minutes. Everything was freshly prepared, the BLT sandwich had a generous filling, and all sandwiches come with a side garnish of chips. Some of us bikers had the liver onions , Ham egg chips , fish chips. Everything was really nicely presented and of generous portions. The staff were fabulous and helpful. On our departure the Bar man said thanks and please come and visit us again. BRILLIANT . We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. The staff were lovely and we loved the garden and the general atmosphere.. We had some light lunch which was nice and there is plenty of parking over the road but be careful when crossing it. If I had one teensy critisism was sharing menu boards around the garden.. User friendly and not a waste of paper but must be a pain for the busy staff having to wander around with them. We wish we lived local as this would be our kind of local... Thank you all

Popped in for a quick drink with family. Lovely location opposite the cricket green. Friendly. We didn't eat but saw some really nice looking burgers coming out.

Very nice pub..well worth a visit...only had a beer.sadly no san miguel
