Asian Garden - Cumberland

This is our favorite Asian restaurant in the area! The portions are great, and you can tell the quality is definitely better than the other places we've tried! I recommend the crispy beef, or any of their Thai dishes. Yum!

I like the Pad Thai and chicken w broccoli. The crab rangoons are yummy.

The staff at this restaurant were challenging to deal with, and I found the buffet across the street to have friendlier people.

Recently, on a Friday, I ordered two takeout lunch portions of Thai cashew chicken, hoping to have just enough time to eat before heading to work for my evening shift. My wife opened her container only to discover what looked like a hair in her food. We decided to return to Banana Leaf, and I showed the cashier the untouched dish while requesting a refund. She went to the kitchen and returned, asking us to wait five minutes. When I asked why I had to wait for a refund, she explained that she was replacing the meal. While I would have accepted that, my wife had already lost her appetite, and I simply didn’t have time to wait for another meal to be prepared. The cashier then went back to the kitchen, assuring me it would only take three minutes, but I told her I would return another time. Two days later, I went in to collect the replacement meal. This time, she informed me that lunch portions were not available on Sundays. I could understand this if I was placing a new order, but I was just trying to get what I had already paid for two days earlier. They have lost my business for good. It’s no surprise to see the parking lot only has one or two cars and the tables are mostly empty. The menu is decent, and the prices are reasonable, but the poor service is enough to deter a loyal customer who used to visit several hundred times when the staff actually treated patrons well.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Our family really enjoys this restaurant! The quality and flavor of the food exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend dining here!
