Southern Hickory Barbecue - Cullman

So good!! It's totally worth driving an hour to get this bbq. The potato salad and beans are very good and the sweet tea. The people are very nice. All so good! We love this place.

I called this establishment tonight to see if there were any promotions or discounts tonight for Veteran’s Day, the answer was no, which is completely fine, but the reason for my one star review is the customer service… The woman who picked up the phone sounded disgusted that I would even ask. It was rude and unnecessary. I have never tried the food, but I won't give them my business in the future.

Great sandwiches... do yourself a favor and try the Turkey Sandwich. Too good! Stew is good, too.

I wouldn't recommend, drive thru only, BBQ is just OK, sauce is bland and they put mayonnaise on the sandwich. No one puts mayo on a BBQ sandwich

Great clear sauce BBQ. And I think you can ask for red sauce. Not sure though. Only place I know of with decaf tea available. Only complaint is the sign on the side door directing people to the front walk-up ordering window. I got out of the long drive-thru line, parked, and discovered the walk-up window is nonexistent. I have asked repeatedly for them to remove the sign on the side door, but they haven't. There's a covered area out front with picnic tables. Woe to the poor soul who gets out of line thinking they can place an order anywhere besides the drive-thru. I really like their BBQ and sides, but if you're hoping for fries, you'll have to settle for potato chips.
