Bidrage med feedbackStops from looking for a nice place for a coffee and a sweet snack. the coffee was good, but nothing remarkable. I ordered the crepe because it is in the name, but quickly found out that the cook make it (they can see it. they do it) had no idea how to make a real crepe and it led to something that was sweet with good taste, but not really a true crepe. Finally, the atmosphere was also not a saving gnade because it is open to a rather busy road.
They have a good coffee and the best croissant. nice service. and very clean and beautiful. the crep looks delicious.
This was a nice alternative to the typical Mexican kitchen that we became a little tired. we ordered two crepes and a hot dog and all the meals were nice. the eaters were also nice. the menu options were perfect for a light snack. or a more fillable food. the staff was friendly and the service was fast and it was nice to see all foods freshly prepared before them. the prices were good.
Being so close to the Zocalo and so many tourist attractions, it isn't easy to find good food and a real coffee (American coffee doesn't classify as coffee) at a reasonable price until you go to Krepchik. Tucked away a few blocks from the...Zocalo you will find great crepes, omelettes, juices, smoothies and a wide selection of coffee for any one. This area is far enough from the general tourist traps that you won't be hassled to buy cheap gifts or a city tour. Go in, sit down and enjoy some good food and drink without the hustle and bustle of such a busy city.
After being surrounded by people in the Zocalo and surrounding streets, Krepchik was the perfect escape. Perhaps it was just because I ate so early...about 12:30/1 pm. I was one of only two customers in this little cafe. Krepchik boasts a variety of sweet and...savory crepes. Upon the recommendation of the cashier, I ordered the Oliva. It contained sundried tomatoes, spinach and oozed cheese. Delicious! Krepchik offers a variety of smoothies, both natural and chamoyada , or with a bit of spice. I opted for a regular guayabana smoothie. It soothed my nerves on the hot, crowded Semana Santa weekend. Soon, I was ready to venture on to the next museum.
