815 Chop House - Crystal Lake

The service was absolutely terrible. The food was just ok. My husband had a filet which was good but asked for a Parmesan crust- it was pieces of Parmesan on the steak. That is not a crust. I had filet medallions in a mushroom sauce which tasted like dish water. It was horrible over all. The only good part was the cocktail but it took 30 minutes before a server even took our drink order when we sat down. They were way under staffed for servers but yet had 8-10 bussers walking around. Overall terrible restaurant and it was not cheap.

Cut of steak was thin and fatty for a $40 steak. Ordered appetizer and meal. 5 minutes later brought salad then 2 minutes later brought entree. Server scrambled and Took them back to kitchen, never delivered appetizer, brought back entree after salads and plate was hot but meal cold. Very disappointing as I thought this iteration of the same reboot of the location (nothing changed inside) would be as good as its predecessor. I’m usually not picky and as long as it’s equal to what I could make on my own I’m Ok.

Very good. Wait staff a little inexperienced but not too bad.

We had brunch that we liked very much. Service a little slow but I think a party of about 10 was seated at the same time so that was a factor I’m sure

Great evening overall. We had a delayed drink order however given that it was Valentines Day, we understood that it might have been busier than normal. Highly recommend this place!
