Chiquito Croydon

When we arrived at the restaurant, I dropped off my friends and went to park my car. Upon my return, I learned that they had been informed that we couldn't be accommodated because the restaurant was shutting down permanently at the end of the night, and there were limited food options available. I was quite frustrated! We decided to leave and went to another nearby restaurant instead. The next day, since I couldn't use my vouchers, I applied for a refund. I only received back 50% of their value, and I have since appealed this decision, as I was unable to use them at the time I had booked due to circumstances beyond my control. While I know there are other Chiquito locations, none are close to us. I have dined at Chiquito in Croydon numerous times and have taken friends and family there, but I was very disappointed by how the closure was handled. Had I been given notice about their impending closure, I would have certainly made arrangements to visit one of their other locations.

We reserved a table before heading to the cinema, and the waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, especially given how many tables she was managing. This place is great for families and friends, offering good value for money. While it’s not fine dining, the food on the menu was quite tasty.

The experience was average. However, the customer service could use some improvement. One server was handling five tables, which resulted in a 20-minute wait before I was attended to.

I know there are other Chiquito locations, but none are nearby, which is why we chose the Croydon one. I've dined at Chiquito in Croydon many times before with family and friends and was very disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially regarding the sudden closure. Had I known, I would have opted for one of their other locations.

We reserved a pre-cinema time slot and were pleased to find the waitress incredibly friendly and attentive, especially considering the number of tables she was managing. This restaurant is a great all-around option for families and friends, and it offers good value. While the food may not be gourmet, what we ordered from the menu was quite delicious.
