Bidrage med feedbackWe dropped in at lunch time over the Easter weekend so it was quiet. The decor was cool with some classic hip hop jams. Make sure you try the fantastic fish tacos, they are fantastic.
I went today with my partner and paid 50 dollars for all you can eat tacos in crows nest. This was the 3rd time I go there and the last one, my first 2 experiences were not the best, to be honest I eat better food at Guzman & Gomez. The manager was very rude not only with my table but with the table next to us. Serving food like that should be illegal, Mexico should build a wall to void the owners coming back to Mexico and copy pasting a cheat version of their food. Seriously horrible food and even worst service and to the manager, if hospitality and guest service is not your passion get a new job, because telling to a customer "I didn't took your order is not my problem" well... is clear that you need to a change.
So deliciosa! Friends introduced me to this place for dinner, couldn't help taking a date here next! The tacos are great with all their varied toppings and the cocktails are ????????
Stepping through the front doors, I was not expecting to see such a lively, dark and bar-like kind of atmosphere. The decor is fantastic with an eye catching feature wall, adding to the allure of the place. With a booking, we were seated promptly, but were then left without any waitstaff nor attention for longer than we would have liked. A guy eventually comes over and apologises for the long wait and offers us a complimentary starter of guacamole and totopos. Very unexpected, but a nice gesture to keep customers happy. Not knowing how the rest of the night was going to be like, we decided to just order our drinks and food all at once. With about 10 different types of taco fillings to choose from, we decided to try 4 of them - tinga chicken, al pastor pork, los vida famous fish and chorizo & octopus. We also shared the chipotle chicken wings and beef ribs. The guacamole and totopos (triangular corn chips similar to tortilla chips I think) were the first to arrive. The guacamole was delish! Fresh, chunky and perfect with the addition of pomegranate on top. A great way to start the night. Soon after, the plate of tacos came out. Great variety and combination of flavours, though a bit more of a punch would have made them even better. The tacos ranged from $6 to $8 each and only after ordering, did we realise that they were also available on either corn or plain flour tortillas. Ours came out in default plain flour ones. To rank them from my most favourite to least favourite, it would be the fish, chicken, chorizo and octopus, and then the pork. Our other dishes of the chicken wings were good and the portion of the the beef ribs were great for sharing, but it is probably a dish I wouldn't order again. The meat was a little dry and a bit too many chunks of fat in other parts. The chipotle glaze was very tasty. Overall food was great and I had a fantastic dinner. Service is a little slow, but it did gradually pick up and the staff are friendly. It is such a great place for drinks and sharing food, either for date night or a catch up with a small group of friends. Very fun and casual. I will definitely be returning.
