The Beef And Barrel Restaurant Lounge

I was hanging with family and visited BBR in mid afternoon on a Saturday. There were 7 of us. A small group does present challenges to service. The server was very attentive and responsive to deficits in service. The meals served tasted great, butthe food quality was mixed. The egg rolls were ordered as appetizers. Two orders were placed and only one was served. Thechicken tenders were overcooked. The teriyaki salmon and pork chops were delicious. For responsiveness, the server gets a 5. Food quality, 4. Meal flavors, 5.

We lucked into finding this great restaurant that also had a dog-friendly patio! We had the patty melt, the french dip, and sweet tea. The cole slaw and french fries that came with our sandwiches were also great! The service, which Chelsea provided,was excellent! She provided fast, friendly service and even gave our dog some water and gave us ?to go? containers for our icedtea when we headed back on the road. A great experience all around. Highly recommend!

Good. Found with urbanspoon.com. I had the special of the day (Kalbbraten) and was satisfied. Would recommend for those who want to avoid fast food or national chains

Needle in the Haystack. I praise Jesus for the Urbanspoon mobile app on my iPhone 4 S. Had it not been for this tool, I would have had to have eaten in one of the 20 fast food greasy spoons that surround this meth lab called Crossville. The joynt is cozy, dark, old school. Waitresses are local gals, have a lot to say and know their menu items. This is the place my parents took me to for birthdays in the 1970 's. My old man had a manhattan and my mom a vodka gimlet. They serve a lotta these at the Beef. I had potato skins. Great. Fresh spuds, not over cooked and NOT at all greasy. Just the amount of melted cheese. Large portion for $6. Prime rib roasted potatoes. 16 oz cut. Mans portion. Yeah, I roll like that. Generous portion here as well, probably closer to 18 oz, no fat. Spuds were done to perfection. A thus far. Jennifer, the barmaid server, was great. Polite, attentive and knew her stuff. She turned me onto a storebought Grasshopper pie for dessert. Great. This area is like where Grapes of Wrath could have been written. Nothing here but meth labs and tweeter heads. Beef Barrel is a great find. See you next week.
