The Capital Grille - Crossing

I've been to Capital Grille all over the country and this is one of the best ones by far. The general manager Kevin is amazingly customer service focused. Last time we were there I ordered a Red Bull and vodka and they did not have Red Bull so he sent somebody out to get it for me! Talk about service! Our waiter this time was Jimmy and he was incredible as well.

I felt like I was on a cruse. We were treated like VIPs.Everything was fantastic.

Had a New York steak. Asked for medium, but was medium well. Other guests had New York au poivre, also was over cooked. Had potatoes au gratin. They were too salty. I’ve made better myself. Service was inattentive. Disappointing.

I sat in the bar area which I did not mind as I was a party of one. However, I sat for 30 minutes before my drink order was taken at which time I told the waitress that I would be ordering an appetizer and an entree...Another hour and 20 minutes passed before I had to ask the manager if someone could please take my order. The manager made rounds to every table except mine! I could hear him tell them, she stopped me and asked if someone could take her order....at which time one server who was not my server said Welcome in!!! I am utterly appalled.The food is delicious but the poor service made for a disappointing experience!I got the porcini rubbed bone in ribeye, mashed potatoes, and crab and lobster cakes...with the Stoli Oli!

This was our first time at the back bay location and it was great. We visited for Mother's Day and everything was smooth sailing. Specials were great and service was on point.
