Bidrage med feedbackGreat experience. Friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Clean environment and tastefully decorated. Food was excellent. It was nice taking a walk along the water. An easy walk from South Station. A tad pricey, but pretty much expected for Boston and the InterContinental.
Fine, but not great. It's still a beautiful hotel with great views of the harbor but it doesn't offer a 4- or 5-star experience that the Intercontinental brand used to offer. My biggest nit was with the food; the F&B Director should really step up their game. We had access to the club lounge (which is always an appreciated perk) but the lounge had the exact same food offerings (morning and evening) every day of our 3-day stay and the evening offering appeared to be frozen apps that were heated in a microwave. In addition, the breakfast buffet in the restaurant (which was $100 for 2 two people once they include the mandatory 18% gratuity) was the exact same offering as the club lounge: chafing dishes of scrambled eggs, bacon, chicken sausage and potatoes (along with standard breads, yogurt, fruit). No fresh-cooked eggs or anything interesting. It seems for $50/head, they could offer more than the free breakfast I can eat in the lounge. We were also proactively told 3 times that our suite was being upgraded to a better one (they offered, I never asked for an upgrade) but we never received the upgrade which was disappointing. They set us up with high expectations only for us to be let down in the end.Definitely not an awful experience, but not a luxury or high-value experience. This was my 3rd stay at this hotel and the next time I'm in Boston, I'll opt to try a different hotel.
We had a great stay at the Intercontinental. The location is great, literally right on the harbor. Service was outstanding as well. We had a very early flight and end up arriving at the hotel to drop of our bags around 8am. Much to our delight, they had a room available and let us check in early so we got a quick, and much needed, power nap in before hitting the town! Also, after getting home we realized we accidentally left a beloved shirt hanging in the closet : However, after a call to housekeeping we had the shirt in our mailbox within a couple of days :
We had a wonderful stay at the InterContinental Boston. The facilities and room were great. The location was also very central for us to do many activities. One piece of feedback I have is the minifridge. I really like the option of having paid options in the fridge but there is no room to store personal items (besides two cans). This means we had no storage leftover food we purchased out on the town.
Well deserved to be there, the only thing we could get is the view of the the marina.Very nice and spacious bathrooms in a modern style, pleasant interior room and good design. We had a bathroom with a shower and tub, booth absolutely nice.Highly recommended and planning on returning back staying in the future.
