The Fairways - Crewe

The restaurant review was disappointing overall. The food was average at best, with overcooked chicken being a prime example. The service was passable but nothing out of the ordinary. The ambiance of the restaurant was cold and unwelcoming. When inquiring about our Boxing Day reservation at 3 p.m., the server initially seemed unsure and later confirmed that the restaurant would not actually be open at that time. It is concerning that we were not contacted about this change in plans beforehand. This left us in a difficult situation with no available alternatives on such a busy day. Overall, not a good experience.

Restaurant didn't advise they werr only doing limited buffet for mains in advance of 4 dishes only. Food was ok but disappointing that mains were served up like a school dinner from a buffet

There were more employees than customers at the restaurant on a Friday night, with only two tables occupied. The staff, although not attentive, mentioned that the drinks menu needed updating multiple times. We had difficulty ordering drinks as they were not available. The chicken dish we ordered was dry and chewy, not worth the £17.50 price tag. However, the pork dish was tasty. The dessert was good, but there was no menu available, so the server wrote it down for us on a piece of paper. The restaurant had a nice aesthetic but was empty, with spiders near the windows. Overall, the experience was disappointing due to the lack of cleanliness and food quality issues.

We had made a reservation for a meal as part of our stay and it was excellent. As vegetarians, we were pleased to find a variety of options that were both satisfying and delicious. The presentation of the food was top-notch and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The only downside was that it was a little chilly by the window, but overall, the atmosphere was welcoming. The Christmas decorations added a nice touch as well.
