Cobalt Smoke Sea - Creve Coeur

We were given two menus that were empty, so I had to go up and get two new menus myself. Unfortunately, there were only two waitresses working that night and they seemed overwhelmed. Our waitress was polite, but she had a lot of other customers to attend to, so the customer service was lacking. The fish I ordered was delicious, but my husband's pork was a bit dry. The decor of the restaurant is really beautiful.

The reviewer's experience at Cobalt was not great due to poor service from their server, Sheri. Despite not introducing herself, Sheri took a long time to acknowledge the customers and when she did, she focused on her politicized opinions regarding Covid and masks. She did not offer any assistance with the menu and when asked about specials, she gave a curt response. The corn bread appetizer was dry but had good flavor. The crab cake sliders and autumn harvest salad were tasty, but the strip steak lacked flavor and seemed like it had been sitting around before being served. The specialty drink menu had great options and the cocktails were good. The patio seating was inviting but lacked privacy, and the interior had a unique touch with an alligator skeleton suspended above the bar. Despite the potential of the restaurant, the poor service ensured that the reviewer would not be returning.

Went here on a Tuesday. Service was outstanding especially since there was one server for the night. She did a great job. Drinks were covered by Happy Hour as was our appetizer. Crab cakes were excellent as were our entrees. We plan on returning.

Our favorite in St. Louis hands down!! Been many times and never, ever disappointed. Great atmosphere. Great service. Awesome bourbon selection and drinks. Amazing foods!! You rock it Bernadette!!

Food was good, but it took a while to get food, and they weren’t that crowded. Service was good, but slow, maybe a kitchen issue.
