The Richard Onslow - Cranleigh

We went there for lunch, but the kitchen hadn’t received our orders, which resulted in a 45-minute wait for our food. Tom, the manager, took charge of the situation and handled our meal, even though I offered to pay. The staff were wonderful, and the service was excellent. The food was tasty and met all expectations. I would recommend this pub and plan to visit again for a new experience.

We were invited back to this restaurant after a less-than-perfect experience during our previous visit. After sharing some constructive feedback directly with them, the manager, Onslow, reached out to us personally to apologize and offer us a second chance to experience their service. I'm glad we accepted! The food was significantly improved this time, and both the service and presentation were excellent—truly a night-and-day difference compared to our first visit. We were very satisfied and will definitely return. I believe the name of the gentleman who served us that night was Tom, so a big thank you to him for his outstanding service!

The gastro pub is beautiful and has a charming ambiance. I didn’t notice the house when I arrived, but it felt great to be back. I visited with a small group for a mental health initiative and enjoyed the breakfast, which was delightful. The staff were incredibly calming and attentive. I also appreciated the old-fashioned whisky made with real sugar instead of sugar syrup; it was expertly prepared. While it wasn't specifically a breakfast drink, it was a lovely touch to the experience.

Very lively and lively atmosphere, had some beautiful beer, the steak that I had excellent and the merlot was very nice, with attentive and efficient staff in the restaurant, the bedrooms were fresh, clean, tidy and comfortable.

Fabulous food served by a very friendly staff making everything even better. Highly recommended
