Dong Fang Chinezesc - Craiova

I have been to very many asian/chinese restaurants in Romania in hopes to find an accurate, traditional and authentic chinese restaurant and i am glad to say that this is the ONLY restaurant of this kind in Romania. The food is absolutely delicious and comparable to authentic restaurants that can be found in western europe. The owners of the restaurant are chinese immigrants who contribute to the authenticity of this restaurant. The ladies were kind and explained every menu item to us. We had the duck dishes and they were absolutely amazing, similar to ones i had in cities like Prague and Berlin. To have such a gem in a small city in south Romania is a blessing. Enjoy your visit!

The dishes were not as good as other Chinese restaurants and the food wad not cheap at all. For 2 mains and 1 rice we paid 97 lei. The pork with 5 flavours was overpowered by something like vinegar, as you tasted it it burnt your palate and throat. There was too much root in it, like celeriac or parsnip root. The beef with wood ears had a weird smell and the beef was a mix of fat and chewy. Rice nothing to comment. Would not buy again. Interior so called terrace with smoking, the waitress also smoked there, not pleasant.

Nice surprise in here! Really good food !!!!!! However the food service is extremely slow don't come hungry!!

The food is si good, we order at least once every two weeks, they do not disappoint.

The food was very delicious, came quickly, and the staff was nice and helpful and gave us recommendations about the menu. will definitely go again and try more things from their menu. really great food and nice atmosphere, i definitely recommend it for anyone that is craving some authentic chinese food.
