These owners allow abusive treatment of staff, then get upset and deduct from paychecks when employees decide to leave for a healthier working environment after nothing is done to solve any of the problems. Verbal abusive is never ok in an environment where you've left your home to stay there for 3 months. Also very unequal treatment for clients, if a client isn't *perfect* or doesn't tip well enough, the lodge claims to be fully booked the next year and weeds them out. Very immorally and unethically ran business by money hungry ownership. Too bad for such a beautiful area. Many other great lodges in the area to check out!!

Shelter Cove Lodge has earned my highest recommendation. I’ve been fishing with them for over 20 years and have so many wonderful memories with my kids. Linda, Dave Stacey do a remarkable job running the lodge. I have liked all the various fishing guided over the years, but Kurt is definitely in a league of his own. Best fisherman I have ever fished with! The lodge is very well maintained, the food is consistently exceptional. Most important to me, the fishing boats and equipment are 1st class. I’ve said many times this is truly a “once in a lifetime” experience I am lucky enough to have again and again.

Great place to do awesome sight seeing, fishing, fine dining great hospitality, clean friendly and all around great Alaskan experience.

Awesome guided fishing and mostly limit out every day (weather permitting). Salmon, halibut, ling cod, black rockfish (ocean perch).
