The Velvet Cactus - Cozumel

Place had a good vibe, service was decent but the food was a disappointment. Guac taste like it was seasoned with a packet, grilled shrimps tasted like chorizo sausage. They were not cooked wrong just something I particularly do not like. The one thing that was the biggest let down was the store brought tortillas. That's a big No No. It does not matter how much effort you put into the meat, if the tortilla is wrong it just does not work.

Enjoyed the time. Loved that they had the Grinch there.

We had a party of 17 and they did great to accommodate and serve Food was fabulous as always.

I was disappointed in the taco salad, but the other food was excellent. I love, love, love the queso. Great margaritas.
