Good gumbo, but promised 'best beignets in town ' were really bad — very dense, and the shrimp cocktail was oversalted, etc.

If you’re staying at the hotel, this is a pleasant option. But I probably wouldn’t make a specific trip to dine here if I wasn’t staying at the hotel (or at a work dinner, like I was).

We went for dinner with another couple; it wasn't busy at all. We don't mind paying the prices expected at The Ritz but the service was terrible. We never had the opportunity to order drinks, couldn't get refills on our water, we had to go ask someone for salt and pepper because we couldn't get anyone's attention, and they never even asked how our food was. The food was delicious in my opinion. This review is specifically for the quality of service provided which was subpar. I get there and had to wave someone to seat me and after that I waited quite a bit for a server to come and tend to me. I got fairly annoyed when my main course was given to the wrong table.
