Taqueria Diaz 100% - COZUMEL

Great cheap tacos and Queso Fondto. This place was recommended by a friend and local. Bright and clean the food was awesome.

This is a neighborhood taco joint. The prices are low, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is fresh, fast, and it tastes awesome. If you are looking for something exotic, this is not the place for you it's tacos, quesadillas, and other staple items. But among those categories, there is a broad array of choices.

Went here on a recent visit to Cozumel. I went with some locals I had met earlier in the day. We went around 8 and had a short wait for a table. Definitely mostly locals. We ordered a whole table full of food and had 2 or 3 beers apiece. The total for 4 of us was 30 US including a generous tip for the waiter and kitchen. Can’t remember all the stuff we ordered but there wasn’t anything left when we decided we were full. Excellent local place for inexpensive great taqueria food! Thanks to Elvis and his friends for a beautiful night out on a perfect Cozumel evening!

Best tocos of my life. So glad we stopped in. Two cokes and 6 tacos came to $10usd. We ate them so fast I didn’t get a photo of the tacos.

Everything on the menu is hot, fresh, and tasty. Prices are local $1 or less for most tacos, $2 tortas (sandwiches) that are out of this world, and fundido loco that is a must try. Service is quick and attentive. Know some Spanish or just point; they know what you mean. The kitchen is open and you can watch the whole show. I always tip the kitchen, too. Eat all you want and then order carry out. It is just what you need after a long day of exploring. Take it out of the fridge and you have an easy and delicious dinner (or two a.m. snack). You can't miss with this place.
