Restaurant y Cocteleria Del Mar Caribe

We ate the lobster and bacon wrapped shrimp. Both meals were ok, very rich though. After 3 bacon wrapped shrimp I just couldn't eat anymore, it was salty and too rich in flavor. Yes, I know bacon is salty but this seemed overly salty. The lobster, my husbands meal was grilled with garlic butter and lime. This is actually pretty common on the island and it just isn't to our tastes. I guess we prefer Maine lobster to Caribbean lobster. Or maybe it is just the lime on the lobster we would prefer to do without, we don't add lemon to our Maine lobster either. Service and prices were also "OK" not extraordinary.

I loved the outdoor seats, perfect location to watch the sunset!! We had all the fish and it was AWESOME, so was the Margarita!! I'll be back!

This restaurant is up on 65th off the beaten path for the casual traveler The food is excellent, you can go to the ice chest and pick out the type and size of fish you want and how you want it cooked. The decor is somewhat sterile, not done up as a Mexican Restaurant, it's very clean, we eat there often. Many locals enjoy the food there. For good seafood it's hard to beat
