Las Catrinas - COZUMEL

Again Especias visited and was not disapponited. Francesco and the staff welcomed us as old friends. Relaxing atmosphere and excellent food. Please do not miss this restaurant on your trip to Cozumel. Thank you again Francesco for a great evening. Alex/Marie

We visited Cozumel in early January, and this restaurant is always on the top of our list. With covid the last few years, we've been worried that some of our favorite restaurants would close. We are extremely happy to see that this one has survived....And on the night we were there, which was a Thursday, it was so busy we had to sit outside on the doorstep patio instead of our usual rooftop terrace. Even the indoor upstairs restaurant was full due to reservations. But who cares where we had to sit...it's just great to see that Francisco is doing so well. And of course the meals are always fabulous. My husband always gets the gnocci and the pistachio creme brule. He can't visit Cozumel with those. The pistachio creme brule is not on the menu, so if that's your thing...ask when you get there if they have it available. You will not be disappointed. Me, I always mix it up, but no matter what I get, it's delectable.

We try and visit Cozumel at least twice a year and always stop at New Especias. Never a bad meal and we love sitting upstairs on the patio.

They’re celebrating their 10 year anniversary, and we’ve been coming here since they opened we never miss a beyond delicious meal and wonderful experience by coming to New Especias at least once when we visit Cozumel....Sometimes we come twice…: From the specials that never disappoint, to the staples like the pizzas and lasagna…it’s all fresh and hand made. Francesco and his team will not let you down! It’s always really hard to do, but save room for dessert! The chocolate muffin with vanilla bean gelato is just scrumptious.

Nos encantó la comida, auténtica italiana, y el servicio fue excepcional. Lo recomendamos totalmente. Volveremos en nuestras próximas vacaciones.
