Che Figata Italian Bistro - Coxsackie

We have visited this restaurant three times and will definitely be returning. We are big fans of the food here! We enjoyed a delicious appetizer - 2 meatballs served over pureed squash, arugula, pine nuts, and shaved parmesan on top. It was magnificent! For my main course, I had veal with squash, ricotta, and potatoes. It was very tasty, although I can't quite recall all the other components that came with it. Overall, the meal was fantastic.

We ordered Calamari for an appetizer. I ordered the fig burger. Both were very disappointing. Calamari was mushy, not a crisp batter. The ceasar salad they brought out that came with the meal had some sort of dressing, not cesear, that tasted likemayonaise. The fig burger had no fig jam at all that I could see and certainly could not taste. I believe it was supposed to befeta cheese, I second guess it beacuse it might have been blue cheese on the menu, but it looked like they mixed it with creamcheese and plopped it on the bun. The fries tasted like a cheap frozen french fry, that they did not cook long enough. Myhusband ordered the steak with peppers and although the cut of meat was good he said it did not have any flavor. It it was notcooked medium as requested, it was medium rare. Although the wait staff was friendly, they were not attentive. I also personallydid not like the decor or atmosphere. It most not the worst place, but we have no intention of revisiting.

The menu was great and the food was delicious. The service was a bit slow, but overall a good atmosphere.

This restaurant is very charming. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and there is outdoor seating available. They provide real linen napkins and easy parking. The menu offers a wide selection of beverages including wine, cocktails, and ciders. Although I only tried the appetizers, they were unique and delicious. The portions were just right with well-balanced flavors and visually appealing presentation. I particularly enjoyed the Brussels and burrata salad. My only criticism is that the dishware is unattractive and distracting. However, this minor flaw will not deter me from returning if I am in the area. Overall, a great dining experience!

Good service and good food. A little pricey but not too bad. The Baratta and peaches were quite refreshing. The entree was pretty solid although I liked my wife's dish better. The desserts looked phenomenal, looking forward to trying them next time.
