The Oxley Wine Bar - Cowra

Cowra is a sleepy place and this little establishment is a gem in the town. It has a lovely atmosphere, serves some of the lovely local wine and food products, and has a very friendly proprietor. There is music on a Friday night Certainly worth a visit while in Cowra.

Great to see this favourite restaurant is now serving great lunches Pork Belly was great Cheese Platter was fabulous with beautiful Fig jam Whiskey Sours are excellent Breakfast here is now my favourite spot A great place to eat with a nice atmosphere

Not as busy as I expected on a Friday night and a quiet couple of tables. Staff were attentive but not much buzz tonight

I stopped at this place with friends for breakfast on the morning we departed Cowra. It is easy to find and in close proximity to the Imperial Hotel. I found the staff welcoming and very accommodation. It must be popular because one minor inconvenience in the morning was the fact that a worker from a nearby business was purchasing no less than 18 cups of take-away coffee. This put tremendous strain on the waitress behind the counter and I found it quite inconsiderate and indifferent on the part of the customer imposing such an unreasonable demand on this shop. It certainly slowed down the service, none the less she got it done and was able to take our order before she made the 18 cups of take-away coffee. The lateness of our coffee did push our morning departure back.That said the breakfast food was great. They have outstanding bacon and egg rolls, waffles and other hot foods. The chef was very friendly and courteous when he brought the food out and made us feel welcome. I got the impression that this place was rather popular with the locals who come in for breakfast and a morning coffee.I would recommend visiting this place for a meal. It was not open on Tuesday night for dinner so planning is recommended. I think they need to come up with a system for bulk orders of coffee, because the inconsiderate customer did put unreasonable demand on their service with their request for 18 cups. I do not begrudge this place the business of bulk orders but 18 is totally unreasonable for one person to come in and take up so much time of this establishment in one hit.
