Japanese Garden Cafe - Cowra

We had lunch at the Japanese Garden Cafe before entering the Japanese Gardens. Our meal was very good, the service excellent. The cafe is very clean and well appointed. It has a lovely view of the garden and is a quiet and relaxing place to reflect.

The fantastic coffees and hot chocolate are a must-try at this restaurant. The lunch time meals are great, and I highly recommend pairing it with a visit to the Japanese gardens.

I visited this cafe twice, once for afternoon tea and a second time before taking a walk through the gardens the following morning. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff was friendly, taking orders at the counter and delivering them to our table. However, I found it odd that tables were reserved with signs at 10am, even when the group was not arriving until 12:30pm. The drinks and snacks were reasonably priced, and even though it was too cold to sit outside during winter, the indoor seating still provided a nice view of the gardens.

This is a very good option when having lunch with a big group and specially with kids. Food is nice and portions are good. It isnt very expensive and the service is good. Very good option and plenty of parking space.

The restaurant is very good for a quiet personal interlude, or a mid sized function. The Japanese gardens are an excellent attraction and are viewed from the large windows right across the front of the venue. I have found it a great place to go for a very good meal or just to have a cuppa with friends. There is also outside dining for those lovely days that are too good to be indoors.
