Olive Garden Covington

Great prices, light attractive venue. Love the never ending bread and salad. Food is all fresh and the olive oil eased my conscience for eating so much, cause what I did eat veggies, salad, some bread and an entree were healthy. Thanks OG will definitely have a return visit at these prices. Maybe for a lunch special.

I love goin to fancy places when I have the money. A little treat yanno. Well I usually go to slidell but but I came to this one instead. The waitress rushed me and my husband! She kept it nice but do think I didn't notice when you brought ou r attention to paying within 12 minutes after receiving our order then coming back with my soup and asking if I'd like cheese just walk away then coming back with the check n no cheese, now I wouldn't tip if the economy was better but because of her thinly valed poor attitude she did not receive the full tip had my experience been pleasant. She profiled me, rushed my experience and I would not recommend. Come to slidell. We have more Congeniality.

What can I say about the Olive Garden that everyone has not said. I consider the Olive Garden a more fast food Italian sit down restaurant. It's of course a chain and once in a blue moon...you have an inkling to eat their delicious, fresh out the oven, bread sticks and Zappa toscanna soup! I always try their specialty menu when I can or do the all you can eat when they offer it! This round, we tried the baked dishes they offered. I had the Smoked mozzarella shrimp rigatoni and hubby had the Braised Beef Bolognese with Pappardelle. I enjoyed my SMSR as I made a small adjustment and added cayenne to give it a kick. Pasta was a bit over cooked but had food creamy smoked flavors. Portion sizes are enough for two rounds! I always split my meal in half cause I don't want to eat the whole plate plus I need to save room for dessert. Hubby was ok with his braised beef. It was kinda like ground beef texture. He enjoyed my dish more even tho he doesn't care for white sauce. I always save room for tiramisu! I love it! The first time we had a nice sizable piece but the second round...the piece was tiny!! Oh well...I'll be back in a few month when they do all you can eat pasta!

2nd time we went and walked out after sitting for 10 mins with no service. I don't wanna hear bs about short staff. Tons of workers, 3 ladies were at the front desk just chatting. Waitress made eye contact several times, put napkins on the table said she'd be right back.... Never came back to our table. I'll go back when the Saints win another Super Bowl.

I don't have a lot to say about Olive Garden except I enjoy the food and drinks and we've always had exceptional service. The one thing that makes the place stand out in my head is the way we're treated when we're there...like family. One of the best eating experiences I've had to date was at an Olive Garden because the staff was just that good. OG, if you're reading this, I miss the short rib pasta...bring it back for a limited time, will ya???
