Mystic Grill - Covington

This is a great spot to check out. Our waitress was friendly and quick to serve us, and the place was clean. Just don’t expect the interior to be as flawless as something out of The Vampire Diaries. When you visit the ladies' room, be sure to bring a pen and leave your mark—I'm the one who posted 'Klaus is life 2022,' haha! The only downside was that the bartender forgot to make our cocktails, but they quickly removed the charges without any hassle. Also, keep your receipt; you can get 10% off at the Alley store downstairs. Enjoy your time there!

What a wonderful discovery! We will definitely be returning! I had the grilled meatloaf with asparagus and green beans, and it was delicious. The Mystic Salad was also quite large—enough for two to three people to share—just be sure to request extra dressing.

Once we were seated, we noticed they now use QR codes for the menus due to Covid. We decided to try all the appetizers, and we enjoyed each one. The goat cheese dish was a bit on the fancy side, and while I wouldn't order it again, it was nice to have something different. For our main courses, we chose burgers, and they were enormous! They could easily be shared. We tried both the Clocktower and Mystic burgers, and both were delicious. As for sides, we had a choice of regular fries, sweet potato fries, or pasta salad. Everyone picked something different to share, and I particularly loved the sweet potato fries. A fun little detail: two of the bar stools have plaques on the back honoring Alaric and Stefan! We also ventured upstairs to see signed menus from the cast, then headed to the gift shop where I found a lot to love. They even had displays of actual costumes from the show. Overall, I was very impressed! I will definitely be returning!

Went there obviously bc of vampire diaries, it’s not the exact same format/layout of the grill in the show since they used a different building, but they tried their best to replicate it in a smaller space. Love the vibe, love the food, love the drinks, our waitress was so nice. Telling us if we kept our receipt we could use it to get a discount in the gift shop below. But of course I lost in on the way from the table to the gift shop, even tho it’s about 30 steps away lol. Would recommend going tho!!!!

I had read about the sweet tea honey fried chicken. It sounded great, this would be the under statement of the year. This was the most tender, greatest chicken I've ever had in my life! The mashed potatoes and green beans were perfectly cooked and as yummy as can be. Considering I had two drinks an appitser and two entrees it was only about $60. So for a restaurant that is prominently featured in a television series to be this reasonably priced was outstanding! We had the best server I've had in a long time. I'll definitely dine here again before I leave town.
