Thyme - Coventry

Thyme is an acceptable restaurant by hotel standards. The menu is straightforward and reasonably priced, with a variety of new dishes to explore. It is often more convenient to dine at Thyme than to venture into the city.

The advertised deal for hotel guest was a 2 course dinner, a drink and full English breakfast for £23.99, but when we said we did not want breakfast we were told we could have the deal without breakfast for £15, which we took and it was very tasty, my steak was cooked perfectly, and my wife said she enjoyed her meal as well.

Staying at Premier Inn Coventry just for one night. Booked the meal deal not expecting much if at all honest. Pleasantly surprised by the helpful staff and the unusual and well cooked food. A starter of black pudding and apple was delicious. The two hour happy hour with two drinks for the price of one was also an unexpected bonus. A very pleasant relaxed evening.

On December 29th, we stayed at the Premier Inn and dined at the restaurant on site. We arrived at 6pm when the restaurant opened and were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. We ordered the meal deal which included 2 courses, a drink, and a full breakfast the next day for £23.99. Our youngest had a children's meal with a drink and dessert for £5. The meal was unexpectedly delicious and the service was excellent. We left that evening feeling full and satisfied. The next morning, we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with a variety of options, including continental choices. We have stayed at many Premier Inns and dined at their restaurants as a family, but this experience was by far the best. The staff were excellent and provided attentive service. Well done to the team!

I stayed at the Premier Inn attached to Thyme restaurant and dined there for 4 nights. The food was consistently amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly. Although I knew what to expect in terms of the type of food being owned by Whitbread, the quality exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the chicken and rib combo (tasty and filling), chicken makhani curry (delicious), house burger (a nice, meaty burger with rarebit sauce and mushrooms that complemented the meat perfectly), tempura prawn starter (nice), and my favorite part was the aromatic duck parcels for a starter - they were delicious and cooked to perfection. I also had the toffee waffles for dessert one night, which was good, although there was a bit too much chocolate sauce for my liking. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, which enhanced the overall experience. I was very pleased with my time at Thyme restaurant.
