Bidrage med feedbackWe used to frequent this Tesco cafe often. We both ordered the ham and cheese panini, but it tasted undercooked. It seemed like it had been in the microwave for just a minute, resulting in a doughy and unappetizing texture. The panini was also very small, barely larger than a bread roll. I recommend reducing the menu selection to ensure proper cooking and heating of items. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the quality of the food and do not plan on returning anytime soon.
I suggested to my wife that we grab lunch at the cafe before shopping, but I quickly realized why that may not have been the best idea. After waiting in line for 5 minutes, we discovered that the menu was extremely limited if we didn't want a cooked breakfast. We settled on coffee and a Panini, only to wait 20 minutes for our order to be prepared by 6 staff members who seemed to be focused on cooking breakfast items instead. When we asked why it took so long, we were informed that everything is prepared in sequence, without the possibility of multitasking. We were also told that we could have requested to have our drinks served with our Panini at the time of ordering, which would have been helpful information to know earlier. Despite receiving an apology, the wait was not worth it as evidenced by the disappointing photo of our meal. On a positive note, the coffee was decent, but we were not offered any goodwill gesture for our inconvenience.
We are regular customers at this restaurant and occasionally stop at the Café for a meal. The service is always excellent, with staff member Dee being very helpful and engaging. During our visit yesterday, we had Scampi, Chips, Mushy Peas, and a Latte. The portion of Scampi and Chunky Chips was huge and served hot and delicious. These Premium Straight Cut Chips were seasoned to perfection and everything was freshly cooked. The meal also came with a quarter of Lemon and Tartare Sauce on the side. At £9, it felt more like a meal for 2 and was well worth the 20-minute wait.
I needed to pick up a bit is shopping and you know what happens. Hungry happens. So greggs or Tesco cafe. Tesco cafe it was. Sitting down for something to eat. Ordered jacket potato which wasn’t great, however how that disappointment was dealt with was. Service and food was really good. Worth the time to sit down in Tesco’s cafe to enjoy some food and a coffee.
Quick breakfast here always good. It’s So hard to get a cooked breakfast these days. Ok it may look like a works canteen but it’s a shop cafeteria you’re not looking for fine dining just good honest food
