La Baita - COURMAYEUR

When in Valle D’Aosta I expected a certain kind of setting, quality of food and selection. I found the Baita Ermitage via a Slow Food App that listed the restaurants in the area that were part of the Presidio Slow Food. We usually eat well in the restaurants we find listed here, but nothing that makes me want to come back for more in the future. When we finally arrived at the Ermitage all the way up the mountain, I was not sure if the night drive from Entreves was worth it. Upon entering, the owner who, despite the packed restaurant was all smiles and sat us immediately at our reserved table greeted us. The staff were kind and patient, the ambient was rustic and warm and the primi were tasty! We tired 3 different primi in two just to be absolutely sure, or really because we couldn’t choose since they were so tempting and it turned out to be exactly the experience we were looking for. I recommend the gnocchi!

We went here for lunch with 4 adults and 5 kids. We found it expensive and the food was average. Pizzas were OK, pasta was ordinary. I had sausages with polenta and a tomato sauce which was nice. Service was friendly efficient. The premises was described by one of my friends as like a train station . It 's probably great crack when full for Après Ski but there was zero atmosphere when we were there.

Really good pizzas with a spectacular setting at the top of the first gondola or cable car out of courmayeur. My non-skiing wife met us here for lunch on foot and we all enjoyed it.

This cabin is located at the entire ski center of latemar at 2000 meters in pampeago resorts reachable from the valley village of the Trentino fiemme. to reach him we took the chairlift and then we went halfway. on the site it is written that in summer it reaches in 15 minutes walk from the parking lot from the parking place to tresca the hut is very beautiful and sunny and offers a menu with products at km zero. near the cabin there is a kiosk burger and solar!
