Touchwood Cafe - County Durham

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at this cafe. they were very busy and we got a spot by the window. A great place to go for lunch – a desert was amazing.

My friends and I visited Touchwood Cafe on Friday afternoon for afternoon tea and were blown away by the delicious scones and excellent service, ambience, and food. We were so impressed that we decided to return for brunch on both Saturday and Sunday. This is by far the best cafe I have ever been to - it is extremely well-managed, with a fantastic owner and staff. I highly recommend Touchwood Cafe to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Desperate for something to eat but not wanting to sit down I plumped for a takeaway pie. I wish I hadn’t for the price. $12 for a small beef pie in a brown paper bag. Sure it was homemade and delicious but it was very small, lightweight and expensive for what it was. I also had to wait ten minutes for it, to be microwaved I think. I was expecting something a bit more substantial for the price, sorry.

This is the best place we have eaten on our week trip so far. From the pies to the nachos it is all fantastic. Great service don't miss it....
