Coffee Bank - County Durham

Excellent half hour sat in the sun with a very acceptable cheese and jalapeño scone. Think they are new to the menu? Maybe not. Coffee is always good here.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. My friends come here often and I am fortunate to have been a few times myself. Every visit has been wonderful. We enjoy the delicious food, especially the amazing hot chocolate. It's a fantastic spot to relax and watch people. The staff is friendly and hardworking. A fantastic little restaurant, make sure to support local businesses!

Today, my companions and I went to the coffee shop at 2:45pm to get some drinks and snacks, only to find out that it was for take-out only. Despite seeing other customers seated inside, we were informed that we had to leave the premises with our drinks. After standing outside in the cold for twenty minutes, we noticed that most people who were inside when we were served were still seated. The service we received was abrupt and unclear, and had we known we couldn't stay, we would have gone elsewhere. I will not be returning to this coffee shop, as there are plenty of other cafes in the area. I like to support local businesses, but it seems this one does not value my patronage.

The food at this restaurant is excellent for the price! I would definitely recommend it. The only downside is that there is limited indoor seating, but it gives the restaurant a cozy atmosphere.

I would highly recommend this place. Very good service and I really enjoyed My corned beef toastie. Brilliant!
