Jameson's Charhouse Countryside

We had the worst service despite being the only table in the largest side of the place. The waitress delivered our beers after 20 minutes, right before the salads came with out silver ware. Food was actually good. they botched the checks which is crazy, again we were the only table in the largest half of the place. We saw a small family come and leave in frustration because the waitress didn’t come bye after 25 min or so. Maybe they had a competing banquet until the other part of the place but this was pretty terrible.

I usually come here if Texas Roadhouse down the street is too busy. The food is fine, the service is good. There's just more options available at this price point. It's a hotel bar with video slots.

This place is a hidden gem. The food was delicious, especially the French onion soup. I had the bone in ribeye, which was really good, though a little on the fatty side. Service was really good. The server asked if we were in a hurry when we said no, and she wanted to put the main order in giving us enough time to enjoy our soup and salads. Will be going back especially when I want French onion soup. Decor was a little outdated, but not a big deal when the food is good.

Upon arrival we noticed the place was completely empty. They had random tables around the entrance. Im presuming maybe a event occurred but no one moved the tables back to where they came from. Slightly concerning to be the only people there at dinner time, but we decided to try out this new place anyway. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Unfortunately our food was pretty bland. Nothing was seasoned well. My steak was dry, my sons steak was over cooked as well, and the appetizer of fried calamari was rubbery and soaked in oil from the fryer. All around it was not very good for the we paid. Not complaining about the price but it did not match the quality. We were finishing up and the waitress began to randomly tell us she was homeless and lived in the hotel. Everyone has personal issues but My 3 kids were there and were pretty uncomfortable at the conversation. That conversation followed with the waitress saying “ I was gonna ask if you had cash for my tip? I don’t get paid until Thursday and I was hoping for some cash.” That was a pretty awkward ending to our meal. We won’t be returning ever!

Food was fantastic, servers were slow, but friendly and accommodating.
