Bidrage med feedbackThe food at this restaurant was excellent. The portion sizes were generous and the flavors were delicious. I highly recommend the Steak with Peppercorn sauce that I ordered. Everyone in my party also enjoyed their meals.
We went to Lazaat during the holiday season for a work night out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an event photographer who was performing magic tricks and taking pictures. He was very funny and impressive. Our coats were taken by a polite young man in the cloakroom. We had a drink at the bar and then were seated at our table. The meal we were served was hot, well-presented, and very tasty. After dinner, we had fun making festive balloon creations provided by the DJ and entered a competition hosted by him (which we won). The DJ played music into the early hours of the morning. Overall, everyone had an excellent experience with the atmosphere, food, and drinks all being top-notch. We plan to return soon for another dining experience. Well done, Lazaat!
The owner was rude and unhelpful when my father mentioned that a hairdresser and photographer would be coming to my room before the wedding. He complained about potential mess and rowdiness from our party, even though we assured him there would be no issues. Upon check-in, the staff seemed embarrassed and we had to wait an hour for breakfast. The car park had broken glass and someone put bubble bath in the water fountain. Our room's water was mysteriously shut off on the morning of the wedding. During the wedding preparations, the owner was rude to the photographer and ignored my father, who had tried to make amends the day before. We were made to wait uncomfortably in the foyer for our car as the owner muttered and sighed to himself. When I asked if there was a problem, he dismissed me and mentioned that important guests were expected. This upset me to the point of tears. Overall, our experience at Lazaat was disappointing and marred by the owner's unprofessional behavior.
Lazaat's is a plush hotel and restaurant on the outskirts of Cottingham, near Hull. Food is modern Mediterranian and Asian and is of a very high quality. The level of service is what you would expect from a top-end restaurant friendly, smiling waiters, only too keen to provide that extra special touch. Prices are quite expensive but not prohibitively so, and to be honest it is worth the expense. The menu is complimented by an extensive and impressive wine list.Lazaat is also a hotel and has a number of small but well appointed rooms. Again, prices are not bottom end but are reasonable considering the quality of the accommodation. The only downside is that Lazaat is quite remote, which can result in an expensive taxi ride for even the most local visitor!Overall though, a great venue for a night out with that extra special touch. Recommended.
