Résidence Livingstone - Cotonou

The restaurant has a new cook. In the three years I was in Cotonou, this was the best meal I had before. Each individual dish was cooked for perfection and the staff was trained to earn a 5-star rating. Brilliant, just brilliant. Everything about this restaurant is upscale and you can expect VIP treatment.

This isn't really a negative comment about the restaurant itself...More about the country but don't expect to be served meat in any form other than burnt to a crisp. No matter what you order your meat will come to you beyond well done. It has been my experience at every restaurant in town from the local shack to this place where a meal costs you over $30USD. Fancy French style place, French manager, proper fine dining type atmosphere but order your meal medium rare and you're still going to get it practically blackened.

Great food, good service. Be prepared to spend more here than most restaurant. But it's worth it.
