Ca' Degli Ulivi - COSTERMANO

This restaurant belongs to a great golf course (the same name but you can go there without being golfer : Not so easy to get there (Marciaga is more like village with not se perfectly marked streets , so just go to the golf Ca'degli Ulivi restaurant is located in the main building of golf course, very near parking lot. I was here 5 times in last 4 years and first two visits were just average, but (so I've heard a new chef came and a lot of good came with him. First of all pasta. You can hardly find a better pasta in a wide area. Its just perfect, home made, very well ballanced with a sauce. The new chef likes to cook with truffle so dont miss the opportunity to eat one of the best meals (Pasta con tartuffo ! From a variety of salads, to antipasti I cant say a word against. Even a waiter, I was talking to, explained to me, that especialy people from Germany don't like it there. Dont know why, but my friend which is living in Garda city and was playing a golf with me, is regularly eating there... And as an educator in Italian cuisine, I can only recommend this restaurant :

Don't go for the food. Its not that interesting or good, although it was not bad either. Typical lunch fare for a moderate level restaurant. .....but go for the view and wonderful outdoor setting on the terrace. It is really quite exceptional.

I couldn 't believe it, I mean we read a few bad reviews but figured with the garda view it would be worth it.. No way! Beautiful day but and hardly anyone at lunch still they did not even asked if we wanted terrace view, we sat in a lonely table by the bar- horrible service, awfulf food!! Just to give an idea- we ordered the mixed meat plate appetizers, and asked what it included- different hams.. Ok.. Too bad it arrived with cheese, egg plant parmesan and one slice of meat! Crazy 2 horrible appetizers, 2 plates of pasta over 60 euro and no receipt! We even waited a minute to see if he would print it out but nooo just cashed in and out we went... Will NEVER go again and highly reccomend anyone who wants to eat good food at a good price to not go there.

Menu easy to chose from as it is not big, but very good and tasteful. Make sure to dine outside as the terasse view overlooking Garda is absolutely stunning. If you play golf you can start with playing and then have a romantic dinner.
