Sur La Table South Coast Plaza

We came here for a cooking class that we booked online. This store is located on the west side of the South Coast Plaza mall on the first floor.We booked the Summertime in Italy class $89 per person) in which we made caprese salad, fettuccine carbonara, and berry crostata. The class was 16 people which was split into four groups of four people. Our chef Jerry walked us through the steps of everything from making the pasta dough, making the fettuccine sauce, and chopping the herbs to make the salad.At the end, we got to eat our creations and everything was delicious! I loved the bacon and the creaminess of the carbonara, the caprese salad was so fresh, and the berry crostata was a sweet way to end the meal.Our class also gave us 10% off in the store so we enjoyed walking through the store. Overall we had fun in the class and had a good time.

The sales ladies here really don't want to wait on customers. They scurry about organizing and adjusting stuff while there are two or three people waiting in line ! one of them walked away from the register while we were in the line. And they are not at all friendly. maybe they should find work they like instead.

Loved our cooking class! So much fun and we walked away with all the macrons we made!

Purchased Le Creuset Signature 5-piece Set. Within 24 hours the purchase price had been withdrawn from my account and a shipping label created. Three and a half weeks later there hadbeen NO movement of the package. Four inquires to Sur La Table, who just kept saying it was Le Creuset 's problem and would get back to me, but never did. Now I am told by the phone customer service they will review a possible refund . No way to seek a refund on the website for a product paid for but never received. Don 't advertise a product you can not deliver and take responsibility for your vendors. Very poor service. Look elsewhere for the products they sell!

My experience was OK. Instructor is amazing and seemed knowledgeable. The pricing is kind of ridiculous though for barely anything. I paid $175 for the bold Tuscan flavors and I literally got 2 slices of steak and my man got 3 slices. I dislike that we share in a group of 4. We should have all gotten a steak each or minimum each pair should have shared a steak. But the fact that we paid damn near $200 and we did NOT even get full is ridiculous.
