Yamato Japanese Steak House - Corydon

Not very impressive. The service was awful and they were not even busy. The steaks were ok. I think that they mixed up the cooking temperature my medium was darker inside than the medium well that was very red. Going to rate this a 4-10 and I am being generous here.

Service was so so.... forgot to bring me an item and still try to charge me for it. Soup was not hot.... food was mediocre. Server never really checked on us.

Honestly I am not impressed what so ever. We ordered the Miso soup which I will bet was made from a freeze dried mix the gyoza which was deep fried and tasted freezer burnt a salad which was not fresh what so ever it was turning brown and soggy and drenched in dressing to try and hide the fact that is wasn't fresh and a sushi bento box the rice was old the fish wasn't very fresh but wasn't turning bad yet and some tempura veggies which was the best part of the meal. I have gotten better Japanese food at a Chinese restaurant. I know I shouldn't expect much from a so called Japanese steakhouse which doesn't really have any good steak in a small town like Corydon Indiana but seriously this place sucks and is way over priced. The waitress was more interested in sitting on her chair and playing on her phone that dealing with customers. All around not a place I will ever go back to. I can't seem to understand what people see in this place. I guess they have never had good Japanese food before even Americanized Japanese food. Vegetarian options: Tempura Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu with 4 or 5 items on it

Greatspot for take out. Small dining area. Every week they have a giveaway if you are in their facebook group. For a free dinner. :
