Bidrage med feedbackAs a student, I'm grateful this is an option. I eat at their cheap and delicious salad bar/hot food bar 3 times a week. As a grocery store, I do wish they had more options all around. I prefer Capellas Market in Eugene if I need to do major grocery shopping. That said, their sales and prices are better than Capellas. The name First Alternative Natural Food Co-op is just awkward but does it really matter? Thanks for being my nearly daily lunch go-to. The wholesome food is nourishing for my engineering studies.
Great local grocer, serving South Corvallis for over 50 years. If you are looking for quality food and beverage at a great price, minimal packaging this place is for you. My first stop for all my food needs. Excellent customer service and knowledgable staff. Extensive bulk selection.
Local, humane, organic, Corvallis staple. People read the labels here and care about what they are consuming and from where it came.
Well I have to start the folks at the North co-op are so nice they’re fantastic they go out of their way to help you in anyway they can and that’s first now the food is fantastic throughout the place and you can get almost anything in there !!for a co-op I was thinking more of lower percent prices but that’s not the case you’re about in tune with Market of Choice....So I say support them!Their local and Market of Choice is from Eugene so it’s technically Local too but I still feel we should support the co-op and also ask them for a little more competitive pricing as more and more people jump in and carry better foods some of the same foods they carry like ie: organic bananas .98 right down the street they’re .78 ...I still want to support them and believe they will be more conscious in picking their prices because the people are fantastic and they can do better because they’re a multi million dollar industry and keeping the folks that are helping them stay in business more abreast with better pricing!!Better Health and Good Neighbors !!For it is a “Co-Op”! up date ;Thanks for your quick response but I think my point was misunderstood direct to the point it’s a co-op and as co-ops go ,I believe it’s doing pretty good but why with all the other stores in the area , that are also carrying local produce and alternative goods And quality products...do i see the prices higher at the CoOp then the highest priced quality local store !! And I used bananas as a example. But going even deeper products that are the same products at other stores in the area are less than the co-op and as a Co op goes if I understand it right you have combined co-op buying power similar to their buying power so why on a fairly regular basis are the prices higher at the co-op for the same items elsewhere in the very same town I guess that’s what my point and question was And no disputing the co-op folks are great but none of the other stores are shabby as far as the workers either they smile just as nice as they go out of their way just as much and they’re also very kind hy..are the prices escalating for the same items yet going down else where!! ??
Co-op, the term hopefully will grow among us. FA( First Alternative) brings fresh produce from local farms, ethical products, so many choices abound. Vegan products are popular, the store offers meat and dairy products from local and/or state. They offer a deli that provides dishes to heat, huge array of desserts and go food like sandwiches, each half wrapped separately, salads and innovative food ideas. A well stocked variety in bulk foods also, wine and beer, local bakery bread and so much more. It is a true co-op, membership is for lifetime, voting for delegates for the Board and discounts.
